Thursday came and Thursday went...

I begin to realise that this may go on for quite some time. Anyway, Friday Morning Group this morning and then a weekend of rest and relaxation ahead (apart from a trip to ikea in the morning) so things could certainly be worse.

I have some edifying DVDs to watch (the aforementioned Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and now High School Musical 1 and 2 which I have never seen and which I think Jon borrowed from a Year 10 student for me). Of course there's always the remaining five and a half series of The West Wing should all the singing and dancing get too much. You could never accuse The West Wing of having too much singing and dancing!

Oh, and there's that marking should I get really desperate...

Pick the scene anyone?? I love C.J.

are you still getting acupuncture? it's a good way to bring on birth (apparently) didn't work for me but worked for all my freinds!

here are all the other 'methods' that I tried that are supposed to bring on labour:
- eat lots of pineaple
-drink copious amounts of foul rasbery leaf tea
-lots of long walks
-lots of sex
- walking up and down stairs
- walking along a street one foot on the gutter one foot on the ground
-talk to the baby and tell him/her it's time to come out now...

and they were some of the not so weird methods...

oh yes, and I started not answering my phone after due date - I was sick of the "have you had it yet?" phone calls...

"CJ's doing the Jackal!"

I should point out, Em, that you shouldn't really count season 5 of The West Wing as being left to watch.

It sucks.

"The brother whose claim to fame was that they called him the Jackal. The Jackal. . ." Love that scene!

Be careful with High School Musical, it's potent stuff, and too much of it makes your brain go all mushy. Perhaps it could induce labour?

I once taught on a popular culture course where we watched a scene in a lecture. We turned the 'karaoke' function on and all the students sang along! I think they all learnt a valuable lesson: we might all be different, but 'we're all in this together!' (how banal!)

Enjoy IKEA! Maybe constructing IKEA furniture brings on labour?

Love the look of the baby room too.

Lots of love from Anth and I in Wales to you and Jon!

Josh: *some discussion of politics*
Tobey: Are you seriously talking to me during the Jackal?

Bahaha. I watch that scene on repeat.
